Julia Wildfong

Julia Wildfong has taught French and Spanish for over 15 years at the elementary, high school, and college levels, and uses music, literature, and films to provide an immersive learning experience for her students. While teaching under a fellowship at Boston College, she received the Donald J. White Teaching Excellence Award. Outside of Mass Academy, Wildfong’s world language workshops help other teachers in New England integrate leading-edge technology, such as podcasting and filmmaking, into their classrooms. In addition to teaching French and Spanish, she oversees several student electives, including Francophone Cinema, cardio-kickboxing, yoga, jogging, and sewing.

Wildfong holds a BA in political science, an MA in French literature, and certificates of study from three overseas universities.
