Mass Academy offers several STEM-related programs for students in fifth through eighth grades. Each program aims to inspire and challenge high-achieving, motivated students; some are offered during the school year, while others take place over the summer.
This Summer all programs are provided virtually via Zoom by Mass Academy staff and students; each session runs Monday-Friday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Participants will need access to computer and internet. If you have any questions regarding our summer programs please email: email@example.com
STEMQUEST Virtual Summer Program
StemQuest is a fun and challenging program designed to stimulate the inquisitive minds of bright, motivated students. Offered to students in grades 5-8, this remote program requires cooperation, organization, and innovation. Under the supervision of the camp director and alongside Mass Academy students, participants work on a variety of hands-on activities within the disciplines of math, science, engineering and technology. Participants will receive a kit that will include all the necessary materials needed to complete the activities. Activities include daily engineering challenges, electronics and coding tasks utilizing an Arduino kit (provided with the materials) as well as math, chemistry and other science related workshops. Sessions will run via Zoom, Monday-Friday from 8:30-12:30. All participants will need access to a PC or Apple computer with a USB port (for the arduino kit). Both weeks will be the same content.

SPLISH is a one-day, half-day program for students in grades 5-8 who enjoy hands-on, mind-on learning experiences. Workshops are presented by Mass Academy students under the guidance of Academy faculty. The day begins with a short introduction, followed by four one-hour long sessions of the students’ choice.
The day will begin at 7:50 am with a short introduction and then move onto the one-hour long sessions of fun, adventure and active learning. Starting at 8:00 am, each attendee will take part in four one-hour sessions.

Maker Quest is a summer program for kids who love to build things. Under the supervision of the camp director alongside Mass Academy students, these budding engineers will take things apart to see how they work, design their own devices and structures, and create 3D models that they can 3D print and use.
Math Quest is a summer program for kids who love to think about and participate in mathematics. Under the supervision of two experienced math teachers and alongside Mass Academy students, participants will learn how to problem-solve, pattern, work collaboratively, and develop their math abilities. Everyone will participate in the doing, understanding, and presentation of math in a supportive yet challenging environment.
Computer Quest is a fun and engaging summer program for students who love computer challenges. Under the supervision of the camp director and alongside Mass Academy students, participants will learn how to create a mobile app, program Lego robots, create their own video game, and develop art and animations
