Jenni Durost is a passionate mathematics educator excitedly joining the Mass Academy team this year. She previously taught high school mathematics at Grafton High School for 15 years. For the past four years, Mrs. Durost served as the District STEM Coordinator for Grafton Public Schools. She also teaches Calculus 1 and 2 as an adjunct professor for Georgia Military College. She is passionate about helping students see mathematics as more than just a series of steps, but as a powerful tool to think critically and creatively, problem-solve, and collaborate towards common goals.
Mrs. Durost holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Eastern Nazarene College and a Master of Mathematics for Educators from WPI. She received the Partners in Excellence Award from Mass Insight for her teaching in AP Calculus and continues to partner with College Board for AP readings and training for both students and educators. Additionally, she has collaborated with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education on various curriculum projects. While she has enjoyed her role working with curriculum and instruction, sharing math with students will always be her favorite part of the work!
