Mass Academy is proud to count over 1,000 alumni worldwide, many of whom are currently enrolled in or have completed STEM undergraduate and graduate programs. Meet the Alumni Association Executive Board

Alex Fine, ‘11
President

Alex Fine works as a statistical geneticist in research and development at a biotechnology company in Boston, MA that focuses on precision cancer diagnostics. He lives in Cambridge with his boyfriend Mario and his dog Mia, where he spends a lot of time exploring parks with Mia, cooking at home with Mario, and going out to concerts and cocktail bars in the city with friends. He’s excited to serve the MAMS alumni as President. He and the E-board are working hard to connect alumni, serve the school, and future-proof our communication systems to help all future E-boards as well.

Therese O’Garr, ‘95
President-Elect

Therese O’Garr is an Upper School Mathematics Teacher at Bancroft School in Worcester. She resides with her husband in Holden, MA. She is eager to work with the MAMSAA Board to build an active alumni community in the years ahead.

Raisa Trubko, ‘07
Treasurer

Raisa Trubko is an assistant professor of physics at WPI. She does experimental quantum physics research. Outside work, she enjoys playing with her dog. Raisa is excited to serve as the MAMSAA treasurer to make sure we have the funds to support our activities.

Lisa Sulmasy, ‘17
Secretary

Lisa Sulmasy works as a Sr. Solutions Engineer for a physical security start up in Salt Lake City, UT. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, backpacking, and skiing in the Wasatch mountains and enjoying a good book! On the E-Board, Lisa is looking forward to building out new ways to communicate and interact with fellow alumni and reconnect with old classmates.
