Mass Academy Students Volunteer at Community Harvest Project

On September 2nd, our students had the opportunity to spend the day at the Community Harvest Project in Grafton, working alongside dedicated staff and volunteers to support local families in need. Together, they harvested an impressive:
- 10 lbs of parsley
- 50 lbs of onions
- 140 lbs of peppers
- 150 lbs of squash
- 200 lbs of tomatoes
In total, that’s 550 pounds of fresh produce, enough to provide more than 3,100 servings to the community. The Community Harvest Project staff expressed their gratitude for our students’ energy, teamwork, and commitment, noting how well they represented Mass Academy.
After a well-earned lunch, students and staff enjoyed phone-free time outdoors playing games and spending time together. The day concluded with a lively round of trivia and a spirited bus ride home, complete with a group sing-along.
It was a rewarding day of hard work, teamwork, and fun, highlighted by our students’ experience of the lasting impact of giving back to the community.
