Siobhan Curran teaches science and technical writing at Mass Academy, as well as biotechnology and painting electives. She believes that every student is capable of scientific thought, and her classes emphasize the investigative process. She has worked with mammalian cell tissue culture, in vitro systems, and a variety of biological model organisms including S. cerevisiae, E. coli, and non-human primates.
She founded the Portsmouth Abbey School Art and Science Expo (PASASE), a week-long scientific art show ending with a student science conference that celebrates student work.
Curran graduated from Providence College with a BS in biology, and earned an MS studying life at the cellular level at the University of Dundee.
