Admissions Process
There are 7 steps in the process for application for admission for the Class of 2013:
1. Review
Review the Academy Web site to determine whether you are truly interested in and eligible to apply to the Academy. You may also wish to phone the Academy to ask questions: 508-831-5859.
2. Info Session
Attend one of the three information sessions for prospective students and their parents/ guardians:
January 25, 2012
Session A - 7:00 pm – 7:45 pm Session B – 8:00 pm – 8:45 pm
February 5, 2012
Session C - 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm Session D – 2:00 pm – 2:45 pm
February 7, 2012 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm (9th graders)
Sessions will be held at the Academy, 85 Prescott Street. All are encouraged to attend.
3. Shadow Date
Schedule a shadow date. Interested students should spend a day at the Academy to get a sense of the program, students, and faculty. Please call 508-831-5859 to schedule a visit to take place between January 23 and March 30, 2012.
4. Admissions Diagnostic Test
Register for the Admissions Diagnostic Test on one of the following dates by calling 508-831-5859:
- Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 1-3 pm.
- Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 8:30-10:30 am.
- Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from 1-3 pm.
The Tests are administered at the Academy located at 85 Prescott Street.
5. Application Form
Download the forms or request a copy from the Academy (mams-applications@wpi.edu).
6. Application Due Date
Submit completed application by Friday, March 30, 2012.
7. Admission Decision
Decisions for Admission will be made by Tuesday, May 1, 2012.
