Angela Taricco graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Science. Since graduation, she worked as a Lead Software Engineer doing research and development in the area of distributed information systems and military operation planning. She has co-authored six publications that have appeared in conference proceedings related to distributed sensor fusion and information pedigree.
In 2008, Ms. Taricco began teaching Mathematics at Marlborough High School, and within two years helped bring Computer Science into the district. She has taught Object-Oriented programming concepts and languages, and problem solving through programming. Her current graduate study work is in Secondary Education with an emphasis on Problem-Based Learning. This year, she joins the Mass Academy of Math & Science and is excited to bridge her industry experience, programming knowledge, and teaching methodologies.
