James Barys
Jim Barys has been teaching for thirty five years, the past six years at the Massachusetts Academy of Mathematics and Science at WPI. He has presented at the NCTM National Conference and the T3 International Conference for the past six years and regularly conducts professional development for New England math and science teachers in the use of the Geometer’s SketchpadTM, TI graphing calculator technology, and the appropriate use of computer algebra systems (Mathematica) in the mathematics classroom. His major career interests are mathematical modeling and the appropriate use of technology in the mathematics curriculum.
