- Eight Academy students won awards at the Massachusetts State Science Fair at MIT: Honorable Mention: Andrei Dolganiuc; Third: Ashish Bosukonda; Second: Ilda Bajraktari, Sarah Bricault; First: Zachary Addison, Polina Glinets, Shilpa Nadimpalli, Raisa Trubko.

- John Brattin '06, Nakul Dawra '06, Tim Marsden '06 and Mason Tang '06 were named Finalists in the 2006 Competition for Merit Scholarship Awards.
January
- The Boston Globe-Scholastic Art Awards gave a Silver Key to Polina Glinets '07 for Drawing and an Honorable Mention to Brian Benson '06 for Photography. Along with works from other student artists, Polina's drawing will be on display at the Massachusetts State Transportation Building at 10 Park Plaza in Boston from January 20-February 24.
October
- Ben Adler, Carolyn Purington, and Mason Tang won semi-finalist standing from the Siemens/Westinghouse Foundation (2005) for their research papers. These three represent the largest contingent from any school, public or private, in the Commonwealth.
- The team of Nakul Dawra ('06), Hyungjoon Kim ('06), Yiwei She ('06) and Alex Volfson ('06) placed 7th in the 2005 WPI Mathematics Meet from among a field of 84.
- The American Junior Academy of Science selected Carolyn Purington ('06) as 1 of 10 representatives from Massachusetts to present a paper on her award winning Massachusetts State Science Fair project at the annual meeting of AJAS.
- 16 Academy students (Class of '06) won awards in the National Merit Scholarship Program: 4 semi-finalists and 12 commendations.
